Silvina Ibañez was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina an. She lived and worked in Mexico City until 2017 when se moved at Boston MA. In 1996 she obtained a Teachers Degree from the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredon, in Argentina. In 2003, she got a University Degree in Visual Arts specializing in Painting- at the I.U.N.A. In 2011 she obtain the Master Degree in Visual Arts at the San Carlos Academy of the UNAM, in Mexico City. In years 2004 and 2005, she participated in the workshop of Luis Felipe Noé and in 2004, with Guillermo Roux. From 1996 until 2006, she teached painting to adults and children in her studio in Buenos Aires. In Mexico, since 2007 until now, she's colaborated in Kopalli, C.A.
Silvina has developed many individual exhibitions, in Argentina at: The Telecommunications Museum (1998), Salta Catholic University (2000), Alicia Brandy Gallery (2003), Forma Gallery (2005), Metropolitan Museum of Art (2005). In Netherlands Antilles, at the Lanhuis Bloemhof Museum (2008). In Mexico City at: Gasteiz The Book Store & Art Space Polanco (2009), Traeguer & Pinto Contemporary Art Gallery (2011). Miguel Hidalgo Gallery, Individual exhibition (2013), Mundet Gallery (2015) Traeger & Pinto Contemporary Art Gallery (2016). She received special comissions from important companies such as Pfizer Mexico (2009) AM Best Latinamerica (2014) Cisco Mexico (2014, 2015)
